If a person would like to do some training online, there are three day Online Phlebotomy Certification classes consisting of two days online and on the third day, the group comes together to complete the class in an 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. class time. The class will consist of lessons on the Internet only, with quizzes to be completed at your own pace. In order to take the third class, both online classes must be taken first as there are no exceptions to the rule.

There is also the online course which does not consist of the third day hands on training. If you already work in an environment in the medical field and would be able to do your hands on training at your workplace, this would be an excellent course to do costing approximately $300 whereas the handson course for the third day is $599. This is also an excellent course to obtain continuing education units (CEUs) when they are needed. To take these courses one must have a high school diploma or GED. This course is for those in the medical field who wish to enhance their knowledge, increase their marketability, and expertise as a professional in the health care field.
